Board appoints new trustee

Tammy Braun has been appointed by the board of trustees to fill out the term of Dr. James Meehan who had to resign due to work schedule conflicts.
Many thanks to Jim for his efforts to serve the community.

GARDEN SHED DEDICATED

A much needed garden and storage shed was dedicated at the library in memory of Debby West, long time Friends of the Library member..
The construction was made possible by donations and volunteer work by the following people:

Andy and Andrew West donation toward building and plaque.
Fund raising by CCRS student, Matt Moore.
Materials donation by Chazy Hardware's Bruce and Brent Ladue.
Equipment and work donations by Samples, Mary and Jeff Higgins, John Brendler, Dick and Bob West.
Volunteer, Jim Trombly wired the building hookup and interior.
Jim West designed and build the structure on his volunteer time.
He pre-fabbed it at home and it was assembled on the grounds.




CCRS Jazz Group Performed at the library

The Chazy Central School jazz group and chorus entertained  listeners on a nice June evening on the library grounds.

Christine Pilon's bench is perched in front of the building for a relaxing view of the river and buildings.

Summer Flowers


The Cupcake Quilters Were using the Community Room Saturday Morning

Helpful grandmothers are mentoring their grandchildren in quilting skills Saturday morning.
The youngsters are learning all phases of sewing.
They are proud of their accomplishments.





LAVERNE DUTCHER MEMORIALIZED

The family of Laverne Dutcher, long time Friends of the Library member, presented the library with a check for the purchase of a weather-vane and plaque in her memory.
Kay Kern, substitute librarian, received the donation.
A "quill" will be prominently displayed on the weather-vane symbolizing Laverne's lifetime interest in writing and reading.
