FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY ANNUAL MEETING COMING UP IN MAY!!

Friends of the Library annual dinner will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 6pm at Guma’s East in Chazy, NY.
Meal choices include:

·         STUFFED CHICKEN BREAST…………………………..……17.50 with tax/tip per person
·         BAKED STUFFED HADDOCK W/ RICE PILAF……………..20.00 with tax/tip per person
ALL WOULD INCLUDE TOSSED SALAD, ROLLS, POTATO, VEGETABLE, COFFEE, TEA &DESSERT

*Beer and wine are an option and would be a separate charge.
**Please RSVP via this email or to Rae at 846-7573 no later than Monday, May 19th with the number attending and meal choice. We would appreciate a check made out to Friends of the Library for the total amount. It will be collected that evening.

We will also be collecting annual Friend’s dues of $10.00 separately that same night.

MAY STORY TIME

DAVE RUCH WEBINAR "MUSIC OF THE ERIE CANAL" CONCERT


Wednesday April 30- Special Online Event “ MUSIC OF THE ERIE CANAL” Concert with Dave Ruch, 7:30 at the Chazy Library Community Room.  An incredible performance - Banjo, mandolins, spoons, washboard, guitar, and jaw harp combine with great songs, fascinating regional history, liberal doses of humor, and audience participation for all ages.

Songs from the Stones is a unique concert of music, stories and more, inspired by headstone inscriptions, viewed as a celebration of life. I have found that libraries are the ideal space for this intimate, interesting, moving and enlightening program. I hope you'll join me for this wonderful afternoon.

The "Cupcakes" used the Community Room

The young quilters ended up sharing the Community Room with the Story hour for a while this Saturday moring.

First Gardening Class of the Season

Master Gardener, Joann Trombly, from Cornell Extension Service conducted her first of a series of gardening classes in the Community Room.
